Rowley's House Museum

Rowley House MuseumShrewsbury Museum service is located at Rowleys House. The museum houses collections of fine art, costumes and ceramics.

You'll also find regular displays about Shrewsbury's geology, local history and archaeology and there are also many temporary displays throughout the year.

The timber-framed house was built in the late 16th or early 17th century. However the museum is infact two buildings knocked into one. The stone and brick building is the mansion of the merchant William Rowley and was built around 1618.
