Those Blue Remembered Hills
"Into
my heart an air that kills from yon far country blows;
What are those blue remembered hills, what farms, what spires
are those?"
A Shropshire Lad - A. E. Housman.
The Hills are alive with the sound of Skylarks, Redstarts and Buzzards and what hills we've got! Here are just a few:-
The Stiperstones - a series of eerie jagged quartzite tors including the Devil's Chair.

The Long Mynd and Stretton Hills - heather clad mountains and deep valleys. Very Alpine.
Wenlock Edge - a 15 mile double escarpment filled with marine fossils formed when Shropshire was south of the Equator and sub tropical!

cave and an ancient hillfort in a wooded sandstone country
park.
